Wielkopolska Ethnographic Park
Wielkopolska Ethnographic Park (WPE) is one of the biggest heritage parks in Poland and Europe. The oldest and most original buildings, the examples of the regional style of peasant building in Wielkopolska have been gathered here in the village of Dziekanowice. Wielkopolska Ethnographic Park was divided into three parts. The first part is the village with its belonging farm buildings (windmills, a mill), grange and the manor house. The biggest and most interesting part of the park was built on the plan o fan oval. It is one of the most primary way of building villages.

Both Wielkopolska Ethnographic Park and "Mały Skansen" ("Small Heritage Park") with the island of Ostrów Lednicki are available for tourists. You can buy one ticket to enter both attractions.

Three windmills, the neighbouring peasant hut and barn attract the attention in the village of Moraczewo located in the west part of the park.

The ruins of the once monumental fortress from the 8th century can also be found in the village of Moraczewo. There is a hypothesis of some of the archaeologists that the walls were 17 metres high and the fortress itself was 100 long and 120 metres wide. It is supposed that this two parts of the fortress was just to defend Ostrów Lednicki. It was getting in strength through the 10th century. It is curious that a barrow was also discoverd here, similar to the one found later on in Gniezno. The barrows suggest the existance of the pagan moon worship.
